Here are two yearly reviews that I compiled, documenting Populous history on the Internet from 2004-2005.
2005 Spring - Devil's Age: PHP and HTML broke away - Populous 4: Age of Chaos BETA was released - The Shaman's Home's forums opened to the public - Populous Revolution's forum gained 20,000 posts
Summer - The Shaman's Home turned three years old - Lack of updates hit again - JohnNet.co.uk was established - Matchmaker services were created - Populous 4: Age of Chaos Final Version was released - Chaotic Gaming (owned by Populous Revolution) was set up - A new version of the Populous Story made it's way to the Shaman's Home
Autumn - Populous Refurbished, a copy of the EA site, was set up and then disappeared without a trace - 15,000 hits to the Shaman's Home, with visits from over 40 countries - Populous: Tribal Conquest was set up on the Chaotic Gaming network in order to revamp the Populous game with new, cool things
Winter - Devil's Age PHP moved to the Johnnet.co.uk domain - Hackers wreaked havoc over Populous sites. - Major inactivity at the Shaman's Home :)
2004 Spring - The Shaman's Home came back for battle amongst the other dying Populous sites. - Populous Revolution was born.
Summer - Populous Revolution began the Populous Blogger. - Populous: Dawn of a New Age and the Devil Team website combined to form Populous: Dawn of a Devil's Age PHP and HTML site. - The Populous Awards returned but disappeared again after two terms. - The United Shaman's Society was established. - The Official Populous 4 Site was born.
Autumn - Plagiarism ran through many Populous sites but thankfully, most were fixed before any damage was done. - Version 5 brought the Shaman's Home into the limelight. - The Shaman's Home 2½ Birthday brought more pictures and Version 5, the most dynamic of the versions so far to the site. - Populous: Dawn of a Devil's Age and Populous Revolution went to open war over copying of pages. - Populous Revolution and Populous: Dawn of a Devil's Age began their own awards. - The Revolution Awards took place - the Shaman's Home won 3 awards.
Winter - The Populous Reincarnated Network grew to over 2000 members - a massive achievement for a game that is now just coming up to eight years old. - Firefox was released bringing a few problems to sites regarding compatibility. - The Revolution Awards took place - the Shaman's Home won 2 awards. - An enquiry e-mail to EA about distribution of Populous ended the downloads of Populous 3. - Populous Revolution's Forum moved up in the world to gain over 400 members. - The Shaman's Home moved server and formed the Umluk Network with the Three Broomsticks at umluk.com.
