Many things in Populous happen really quickly, too quickly in fact. You're often dashing from once place to another, checking on this group and that, as well as training your troops and building huts - and all of time usually occurs at the same time. To save time, it might be an idea getting used to some of the shortcuts that have been programmed to help you.
Keyboard buttons have been enclosed in brackets []: therefore the Shift key would be represented as [Shift]. ^L^ stands for left-click, and ^R^ stands for right-click.
