POLL

Level 4: Combined Forces
So we now come across the last tribe, the Matak. This level will introduce the guard tower and its uses along with the lightning spell.

Firstly, build a temple near the reincarnation site. You will probably soon realise that when you try to build extra buildings on the nearby stretch of land, you will forbidden to do so as they will be too far away from the main camp. To solve this problem send your Shaman over to the Vault of Knowledge to gain the plans for the guard tower.

40% complete

Once you have the plans, place two guard towers quite a distance away from the main camp and train two preachers. This will be our first line of defence. Send your Shaman to the nearby stone head. Here you will receive four conversion spells which are great to boost the population of your tribe in the early stages of the game. The best way to make use of convert is to get a group of wildmen instead of the lone one. They tend to congregate around water patches and trees so with this knowledge you should be able to convert a whole load.

Start building up your camp with more huts. Don't forget: try to keep your trees safe and avoid building on top of them. In the picture below you'll see the two guard towers (one being built), along with a few huts and the newest plan is that of a warrior hut. This will be naturally guarded by the huts should an enemy attack.

Allow your settlement to grow, gain your mana and train up idle braves to preachers and warriors. If you wish to splash out on more huts, go ahead but five to six new huts should be enough. Strategically place your newly trained preachers around the camp, especially at the reincarnation site should any enemy happen to slip through unnoticed. At the front, organise a strong defence. Though try not to keep the warriors too near the preachers as this may upset the whole process. The warriors are programmed to instinctively attack the enemy instead of allowing the preacher a chance to start converting.

So now it's time for the attack. Take all your idle preachers and warriors (leave the two preachers in the guard towers and two warriors for defence) and head towards the Vault of Knowledge with your Shaman. Take out the first preacher with a blast, get everyone to attack the warriors and get your Shaman over the Vault to gain the lightning spell. Allow the lightning to charge for a while before going in for the full offensive.

With your lightning, take out the warrior hut, the temple and the nearby guard tower (as it contains a preacher and your warriors may be tempted in switching sides). Try to keep your Shaman guarded or have warriors nearby that will come to her rescue should she fall into any trouble. After that, turn off the lightning spell and allow blast to charge, helping your army to finish off the last of the Matak tribe.
