Intensive harvesting is very useful for every tribe apart from blue, blue needs fast mana to make pressure on the opponent. I'm sure when you expand land as a blue you will need harvesting as well.
The difference between harvesting vs no harvesting can be clearly noticed after 10 - 12 mins.
I was dismantling very intensively but i didn't need to build towers nor need to repair damaged huts - during the real game difference between harvesting vs no harvesting can be noticed much faster.
