Mana is a resource required for charging spells and training followers. The more mana available, the faster these tasks are accomplished. At the beginning of a level or multiplayer match, you start with enough mana to perform 1.5 converts and 1.5 blasts, 3 blasts if convert is off, 3 converts is blast is off, or no spells at all if both are off.
Mana charges automatically based on the activity level of your followers. After extensive testing, I have reached the following conclusions:
- Braves who are either in a hut or active in any other way give much more mana than idle braves; however, a brave gives the exact same amount of mana whether he’s active or in a hut.
- Contrary to popular belief, braves in upgraded regular huts give the same mana as in unupgraded regular huts.
- Troops give much less mana than braves. Active troops give more mana than inactive troops.
Test #1
How long does it take to charge three blasts, given 35 braves?
Situation | Time |
---|---|
3 large huts with 3 braves each, rest patrolling. | 15 seconds |
3 small huts with 3 braves each, rest patrolling. | 15 seconds |
2 large huts with 5 braves in one and 4 braves in the other, rest patrolling. | 15 seconds |
All patrolling. | 15 seconds |
All hands up. | 15 seconds |
All idle. | 47 seconds |
Test #2
35 braves total. Time for earthquake blue bar to be of size 19×6 pixels at 1024×768 resolution. (Small huts were trying to get upgraded so couldn’t test the time for full earthquake charge.)
Situation | Time |
---|---|
2 large huts with 5 braves in one and 4 braves in the other, rest idle. | 1 minute 27 seconds |
3 small huts with 3 braves each, rest idle. | 1 minute 27 seconds |
