around the site shook violently and began to grow. The carved inscriptions glowed brightly, blinding me. I could no longer see Rhünilde in the centre.
   Then, from the heavens, came a bolt of blue, ethereal light that swamped the site, totally masking everything. I held my breath and waited for the light to subside.
   When it did, I couldn't believe my eyes.
   Standing in the centre, dressed in the same clothes, was Rhünilde. The only difference was that she was holding a staff in one hand, a stone mask in the other.
   Everyone around me was stunned as they all began to come to terms with what had happened.
   In response, I knelt down, the first one to do so. Then I heard everyone else behind me follow suit.
   This night was a new beginning. Our Shaman was here.
