To download a mappack, click on one of the
mirror numbers below for the mappack that you want. If one of the download
locations is down, or running slowly, then try the other mirror(s). If you
have any problems, come discuss it in the forums.
You can only install or play one mappack at a
time. It's impossible to have more than one mappack installed at same time.

The
Official New Worlds Pack! |
New Worlds Installer |
1 |
This
is our newest installer, released June 20th and is the official
release.
From now on we will no longer release
"individual" mappacks..
We will only release "Updates" which will contain the
mappacks.
This program contains all
of the New Worlds 4-Way Mappacks and the New Worlds Uninstaller
1.0. It will place them all in
Program Files\Bullfrog\Populous\New Worlds. After installing, there will also be shortcuts on your desktop and in the start
menu (Programs>New Worlds) so you can easily switch between mappacks or uninstall new worlds.

Some Notes:
- Our maps can't be added to the
game; we have to use existing maps' names, so we simply replace the 2 and 3 ways.
This means you won't be able to play 2 and 3 ways when you have our maps installed, though you can still join or host normal 4 ways!
All players must have the same maps installed when playing New
Worlds. If you want to make sure you installed correctly launch a single player game and check credits.
If someone forgot to install and you freeze simply take the CD out and when the popup appears click on
cancel! You do not have to restart your computer.
- Dark Worlds installs a map named
MULTIPLE CHOICE. You can use this map to check if everyone installed correctly:
Select the map when hosting a game [don't start!
Instead, wait a few seconds] and see if "NO LEVEL" will appear behind the players names.
If one gets "NO LEVEL" he/she has to install again.
If nothing happens, all installed correctly.
- The New Worlds Uninstaller 1.0 deletes MULTIPLE CHOICE
map name which is added after installing Dark Worlds, any previous uninstaller
doesn't!
- Skies are not necessary to
play the mappacks. They are merely for looks, and any sky
is compatible with any mappack. For example, if you
have Dark Worlds Sky installed, you can still play Blue
Worlds maps without worrying about the game freezing
(regardless of what skies the other players have).
If you have a slow connection you don't have to download
the skies, but they do enhance the looks of the game.
