 Not sure where this came from - not me for certain! 
 
 I'm not sure where this erroneous report came from - I've not spoken to EA about anything about Populous. 
 EA is a $3 billion company and retaining and owning intellectual property is one of their key missions. They have not yet in their history ever opened a game up to the public domain... so i think it's incredibly unlikely they will do this for Populous! 
 Sorry but the only way to buy copies of Populous is to look for originals at places like e-bay etc. 
 I know if must still be frustrating for fans - but if more people had bought it in the first place (rather than copying it) then this would probably be an entirely different situation...
