Koen We feel like the matchmaker needs a new site, and therefore we are going to hold a contest. You will be able to send in your self-made templates until the 25th of September, and after that people can vote for the best design and we'll be using that one for our new site.

king warg Some of you may remember EA auto patcher for populous from back in the day, it came as an optional auto-updater with Populous. Now I am working on a new auto-patcher program that will work the same way, which will make patching the game to 1.03 and any upcoming patches much faster and easier! Koen I'm currently working on a feature that needs to be done twice (once for software mode, once for hardware mode). To know what would be the best to do first, I want to know what mode is used by the majority of you players. Please answer this simple POLL. Koen Well, we've been working with the rating leagues for quite a while now, and we're wondering what you prefer. That's why we've created a poll to let you vote your favorite leagues system. Do you want the points system, that only lets you gain points, or the ratings system, that lets you gain / lose points based on who you play against and whether you win or not?

Koen One of the next matchmaker versions will have a new map preview mode. We've been experimenting a bit with OpenGL and found a way to show the map as a globe. Off course, the old way of viewing it will be available as well. Picture1Picture2Picture3Picture4

Koen I've added an avatar upload feature in the user panel menu that allows you to upload a personal picture, visible at your personal page, beside your forum posts and (later) in the matchmaker.
